Reducing the administrative burden, specialized loan products - what the industry is now counting on, 75% represented by SMEs. Small and medium-sized light industry enterprises can already take advantage of credit holidays today, get preferential loans at a rate of 13.5-15%. In addition, the tax payment deadlines for 2021 and the 1st quarter of 2022 have been extended under the simplified taxation system.

The current situation creates unprecedented opportunities for the expansion of our manufacturers in the Russian market. Scaling production, increasing product recognition and quality, developing competencies in accordance with international standards are the main areas of work for the near future along the entire chain of cooperation - from raw materials to finished products. We will pay special attention to providing textile and clothing production with raw materials, the Minister emphasized.

In particular, the issue of launching integrated end-to-end programs for all areas of light industry will be discussed in the near future: from the supply of raw materials and materials to finished products. And in order to give impetus to the development of competencies in the primary processing of wool, options will be worked out for creating auction companies for the sale of felt wool, as well as its certification and measures to support primary processing projects.

The backbone enterprises of the light industry already today have the opportunity to receive loans to replenish working capital on preferential terms. Industry support measures continue to operate: among them is subsidizing leasing programs for investment projects.

Over the past 5 years, the volume of light industry production has shown stable growth - by an average of 7% per year. Thus, at the end of 2021, the production index in the light industry amounted to 106.5% compared to last year and exceeded the average for manufacturing industries. Russian products are also in demand in foreign markets. Last year, exports of light industry goods increased by 20%.
