It is always interesting to hear the opinion of colleagues about what trends they are currently observing in what style and color solutions in interior textiles their clients choose.

We talked with the winners of the Textile Designers and Decorators Award in the Classic and Modern Interior nominations Ekaterina Egorova @fusiondecor and Alla Khaimina @alla_andreeva_textile and asked them to share their observations on this matter.

Capsule solution. Colleagues note that the demand for capsule textile solutions in the interior continues to grow. Joining the work at the design stage, textile decorators offer not only curtains, but also furniture upholstery, table textiles and bedroom solutions.

Fabrics and colors. Despite the obvious predominance of interiors in beige and gray tones, some of the audience are happy to introduce bright colors into the home interior. The main color accents, according to the experience of our experts, fall on various combinations of green, blue and terracotta with neutral colors. In addition, customers are willing to use fabrics with floral ornaments as accents.

Alla shared with us the idea that such a choice is due to the harsh climatic conditions in which most of the inhabitants of our country live. Immersing himself in working with a designer or textile decorator, the client sees a variety of colors and its combinations and, ultimately, brings color to his interior. Ekaterina notes an interesting feature: monochrome interiors are chosen by younger customers, as if escaping from the information noise in the tranquility of the home interior.

And what about textiles in general? Are we moving towards minimalism? Both colleagues disagree with this statement of the issue. Minimalism is present, but rather in stylistic solutions than in the amount of textiles. Perhaps there is a tendency to switch from curtains to sun protection in window design, but even here it is combined with textile design. In addition, for example, the number of carpets in interior solutions is only increasing.
