ALL TEXTILES ON ONE PLATFORM
Hometextile & Design 2024 prepares a new season of premieres in textile and interior design
Hometextile & Design 2024 (formerly Heimtextil Russia), the international trade fair for interior textiles, home textiles and decoration materials, will be held at a new venue - Crocus Expo IEC from September 3 to 5. For the first time the exhibition will unite three large-scale expositions into a single textile cluster. About 300 exhibitors from more than 10 countries are expected to take part in the new season.
This year Hometextile & Design has chosen a new venue and it is not by chance. This triumvirate, in fact, creates the foundation for the formation of Russia's largest textile cluster. In the new economic reality such consolidation - exchange of experience, knowledge and ideas - is a necessary condition for development.

The Zone of practical master classes on sewing technologies, textile design and material science is also popular. Textile industry experts will share the secrets of perfect tailoring and tell how to work with different textures and materials.
Espocada Trend Week partner project will present presentations and workshops from renowned interior designers. The guests of the exhibition will also be offered general tours of the exhibition, familiarization tours of the national pavilions and tours of the Trend Rooms with the designers of the project.
The Trend Rooms conceptual zone of interior solutions promises to become one of the brightest and most anticipated projects within the framework of this exhibition. Here will be presented stylized spaces that reflect the most current trends, and the interior for them is being developed right now by famous designers and decorators.
Zoya Ti, curator of Trend Rooms, emphasizes that interior design, like any creative work, in one way or another rethinks and recreates the trends forming in society under the influence of various external factors. Politics, economy, social life, significant local and world events - all this forms the general emotional background, which, in turn, affects the needs and moods of people. This year the trend zone will be called "Adaptation time. Search for a comfort zone", it is divided into four rooms, the task of which is to reflect the main trends for the season 2024/2025.
The authors of "White Room" designer Julia Golavskaya and decorator Albina Knizhnik agree that white space allows texture and form to play out in a special way, and its inhabitant to enjoy touching things or contemplating them thoughtfully. Contrary to stereotypes, white color opens up great opportunities for creating a harmonious space for the most different in character and temperament people.
Designer Elina Tuktamisheva and textile decorator Maria Shaidayuk invite you to the "Russian Style" room. The authors believe that studying the traditions of the past allows us to create something new that will distinguish an interior with our own cultural code. Contemporaries, caught off guard by digital technologies and geopolitical upheavals, are searching anew for inner balance. Ancestral "clues" can be a lifesaver. They can be found in the textures of traditional materials, the palettes of ancient drawings and the whimsical shapes of folk ornaments.
According to the author of the "Dopamine Room" project, designer Sergei Tregubov, the concept of "dopamine interior" is not an established term - is not an established term. But his philosophy is to create a space that stimulates the release of dopamine and neurotransmitters associated with feelings of pleasure and satisfaction. In other words, it is a design that will evoke positive emotions, inspiration and joy.
In this case, one of the main roles in creating a comfortable space is played by textiles. The co-author of the "happy" room, textile decorator Julia Gornichnykh, emphasizes that interior textile trends are moving towards tactility, on the one hand, and harmony of combinations of different prints, shapes and colors, on the other.
Inviting nature into your home is the dream of almost every metropolitan dweller exhausted by the superfast pace of life, urban hum and inevitable smog. This is the basis for one of the most popular trends of recent times - biophilic interior, which will be created in the room "Orangery" by designer Alexander Mershiev, textile decorator Victoria Degai and textile artist working in the technique of macramé, Olga Sokerkina.
On September 4, the announcement of the finalists and the award ceremony of the International Award of Textile Designers and Decorators-2024 will take place within the framework of the exhibition. The contest is the only large-scale event in the textile decoration industry in Russia and CIS countries.
